Sixth Grade Field Trip to Springfield!



The fifth grade students at Lincoln School went on a virtual STEM EDventure this morning with the Challenger Learning Center at Heartland Community College. They worked together to engineer a helicopter that could fly on Mars. The fifth grade students have one more mission on Friday - Destination Mars!





The Annual Excel Banquet was held this morning at Washington School to recognize those students who have excelled academically. The students were honored with a special recognition breakfast for their efforts! Congratulations to all!





On Tuesday, May 23rd, 2023 at 9:30 a.m., a Timely & Meaningful Consultation meeting conducted by Oglesby District #125 will be taking place. The purpose of the meeting will be to discuss the district’s plans for providing special education services to students with disabilities who attend private schools and home schools within the district for the 2023-24 school year. If you are a parent of a home-schooled student who has been or may be identified with a disability and you reside within the boundaries of Oglesby School District #125, you are urged to attend. Spirit Day!
This Friday, April 28th is "Dress Up like a Teacher Day"!


The Environmental Club met and watched the PSA they made, and then they went outside on a spring scavenger hunt! They found everything on the list except a butterfly and puddle.


Jim Basketball Jones presented to our K-2 and 3-5 students today. He talked with the kids about making positive choices, being kind to each other, and trying your best. Students and teachers participated in some fun contests as well!





Mrs. Pescetto’s first grade class and Ms. Pearson's 5th grade class made a craft together to celebrate Earth Day! They made sun catchers out of plastic water bottles!





Free Summer Showcase


The piano, violin, and guitar students of “Maestro & Mi” Music Academy in LaSalle under the instruction of Stacy Konczak (piano), Miss Rhoda Roberts (violin), and Todd Witek (guitar) will be performing in 2 recitals on Sunday April 23, 2023. The performances will take place at 1:00 p.m. and 2:30 p.m. in the Robert D. Manahan Auditorium located in Hall Township High School in Spring Valley. The students performing are from the surrounding areas of LaSalle, Peru, Oglesby, Spring Valley, Standard, Utica, Dimmick, Tonica, Ottawa, Hennepin, Ladd, Dalzell, Granville, Mark, and Marseilles. The recitals are free and the public is invited.
