Environmental Club took a walk to McPhedran Park for the End-of-Year celebration! This group has accomplished a lot this year to help take care of the community and protect the planet, including: -raised funds for local animal shelters by selling student-designed tees -created an Earth Day PSA that was shared with Lincoln students -teamed up with Pet Project, Inc. to promote adopting instead of shopping by writing pet letters to Santa -made reusable bags for trick or treating out of old t-shirts, pillow cases, and paper shopping bags -joined the Energy Action Team and implemented energy-saving resources with kits provided by sponsoring companies -celebrated Earth Day by hiking and having a picnic at Starved Rock State Park Making an impact on tomorrow starts TODAY!💙🌎💚

Ms. Pearson’s 5th grade and Mrs. Pescetto’s 1st grade classes worked together to build treehouses on Thursday and Friday. They listened to the story “Everything You Need for a Treehouse” first. Then they built one of their own using cardboard scraps, pipe cleaner, tape, glue, scissors, popsicle sticks, construction paper and imagination.
