OPS had a fantastic time at the L.E.A.S.E. Trunk or Treat event last night!




Red Ribbon Week at Lincoln School!

Oh no! Mrs. Zimmer's ELA Grey class was visiting a haunted house with friends when they accidentally took a wrong turn and got lost! In order for them to escape, they had to solve each challenge and figure out the clue. The clues from the challenges would lead them to the exit!
The first group that escaped was Laney and Jett!




Ms. Coble's first grade class has gone batty! They had Bat Cave Day last week after learning about bats and finished their unit with bat reading, writing and math activities!

The 5th grade Girls' Basketball Team placed 2nd this weekend in the Trinity Tournament beating Trinity and Ransom St. Michaels and then losing in the championship to Fieldcrest 4-6. Way to go Lady Bulldogs!

Red Ribbon Week Spirit Days for Washington School (October 23-27)!

Oglesby Student Council members participated in their first of two highway cleanups on Wednesday afternoon, as part of the Adopt a Highway Program. Students enjoy seeing who can pick up the biggest piece and the most interesting trash!

Congratulations to the Washington School Band students who auditioned and made the ILMEA All-District Festival Junior High Honor Band: Paige E., Raahi P., Sibelius B., and Natillie W. We are proud to be sending four students to participate in this prestigious performance! Preschool Field Trip to Boggio's!




PINK DAY!




Ms. Pearson's fifth grade class observed states of matter this afternoon in science by making root beer floats! They identified the different states of matter and observed how they changed throughout the experiment.




The preschool students at OPS enjoyed a special visit from members of the Oglesby Fire Department and took a tour of one of their fire trucks!
