Eighth grade students in Mrs. Myer's history class went to the Oglesby Public Library today to conduct research for history fair. Librarian Lynn Sheedy provided the students with books and other materials about their topics. Librarians Deena and Hope helped students check out their materials. Local history experts Mike Groleau and Ken Ficek talked to students and answered their questions. Thanks so much to the Oglesby Public Library staff and to the local history experts for helping out our students today!

The rain may have kept the preschool students off of the playground yesterday, but it didn't put a damper on the evening events at the Preschool Storybook Walk. Preschool students enjoyed a night of fun with a storybook walk through the hallways, popsicles, a book exchange, meeting the Oglesby Public Librarian, and making bookmarks!

Ms. Coble's first grade students reviewed fables that they read in class and then put on puppet shows for each fable. Students worked in groups to create the setting, characters and retold the story with puppets. These pictures are the building process.
