Marnie had her first two student visitors in the office today - fifth-grade students, Payzlie and Carter! They sat with Marnie and pet her and played with her toys, filled a treat finder and had her search for treats and made a picture with bacon/cheese spray on a placemat and let her lick it off. They also walked her outside a little! The goal with these visits is to make Marnie more and more comfortable with students in different settings and situations as it will help with her therapy dog training, as well as letting the students get to know Marnie and feel comfortable with her! Each K-5 student will have an opportunity to visit Marnie in the office this school year! Marnie will also continue with classroom visits!
The girls' basketball teams will begin practicing Tuesday, September 3rd, and the coaches are finalizing rosters, developing practice plans and sharing game schedules! The 5th and 6th grade teams will practice at Lincoln School and the 7th and 8th grade teams will be at Washington School.
