Mrs. Rogers’ second grade class enjoyed an ice cream incentive yesterday for their hard work on the end of the year math diagnostic and reading benchmark testing! They each had goals to reach and picked toppings to earn.




Ms. Pearson's fifth grade students presented their Geocity maps today. Students were required to include certain angles, lines, and shapes when planning their cities. Some chose to connect their maps with other classmates!

The 6th Grade Field Trip to Springfield was this week and they had a blast taking in all of the sights that they have been studying for the last few weeks! They went to the Lincoln home, museum and the Oak Ridge Cemetery where Lincoln was laid to rest. They studied Lincoln, Aesop's Fables, Sojourn Truth, Harriet Tubman and the Underground Railroad in ELA, and they studied the broad overview of the Civil War in History with Mrs. Myer.

Congratulations to all of the students who were recognized at the Extracurricuar Awards Banquet last night at Washington School! Special congrats to Landon B. for earning the Brovelli Award and to Aavery V. and Kimora I. for Athletes of the Year!




Ms. Coble and Mrs. Pescetto’s First Grade Classes finished their unit on The History of the Earth with a Dino Day. They measured dinosaurs, studied fossils, sorted words, learned dinosaur names and participated in other activities. In the unit the students learned about the parts of the earth, fossils, dinosaurs, volcanoes and geysers.
