First grade's Space Day was out of this world! 🌎🚀 Students dressed as astronauts, astronomers, and scientists today! 🔭👩🏽🚀🧑🏿🔬 They worked together to build their own rockets using various STEM toys, bought supplies for their mission by counting coins, pretended to ride along on a rocket launch, found & wrote all the planets in order, and played some space-themed reading and writing games! 🪐🌓✨ They successfully completed their mission and returned safely to Earth. What a blast!☄️
Free Preschool Screening at Lincoln School!
The track meet scheduled for today, Wednesday, April 2nd, has been canceled and will be rescheduled for Thursday, April 10th, 4:30 p.m., at LPHS Complex.
Order pickup for Perfect Pastries will be April 3rd, from 3:30-5:30 in the Lincoln School cafeteria.
There will be a Spring Spirit Week April 7th through April 11th!

Congrats to Rebecca W. for earning the sportsmanship award at the volleyball regional championship! Congrats also to Ella Jane B. and Brynleigh E. who were chosen to compete in the All State Classic where Brynleigh won second place in the serve receive competition! Way to go ladies!

8th grade students completed the Heartsaver First Aid/CPR/AED course earlier this month.!
Washington School started their annual one shot challenge for students at grades 6 - 8 to compete in shooting one shot against their peers. The matchup in a bracket on their way to a potential championship. The kids do a great job of cheering each other and rooting for the underdogs like so many of us do! Nerves and anxiety are felt by all, but they overcome their fear and smiles rule the day! Great job Bulldogs!!
Tomorrow, Wednesday, March 26th, there will be Spring Pictures, Class Group Pictures, and New Student Pictures at Lincoln School during the school day. There will also be Track Pictures at Washington School at 3:20 p.m. This Thursday, March 27th, there will be Spring Pictures, Class Group Pictures, New Student Pictures, and 8th Grade Sweatshirt Pictures at Washington School during the school day. The Scholastic Bowl Pictures will be at 3:20 p.m.
There will be a free preschool screening Wednesday, March 26th from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at Lincoln Schoool! Children between the ages of 3-5 years old can receive a free screening for vision, hearing, speech, language and general development. If you are interested in Preschool for the 2025-2026 school year, call now! Appointments are available by calling 815-883-9137. The screening is sponsored by the L.E.A.S.E. Preschool Program and the Oglesby Preschool Program.
