Substitute Teaching Positions
For those interested in being a substitute teacher at Oglesby Public School District, a Substitute Teacher Authorization form and a copy of your background check from the Regional Office of Education are required. Click HERE for ROE Substitute Teaching Requirements and Stipulations. The district also has a Substitute Teacher Packet that must be completed before substitutes are placed on the call list. The packets are available in the District Office at Lincoln School.

The district employs substitutes for aide positions which requires a Paraprofessional Educator Endorsement through the State of Illinois. Click HERE for ROE information on how to apply for a paraprofessional license. Paraprofessionals will also need to have a background check processed through the district at their own expense ($49.00), as well as complete the Substitute Teacher Packet available in the District Office at Lincoln School.

Substitute Teachers and Substitute Paraprofessionals will be paid $115 per day.

Cafeteria Substitute
We are seeking qualified substitutes for our cafeteria staff on an as needed basis. People interested in being a substitute must have their Food Handlers or Food Sanitation license. All substitute workers will need a completed background check with ROE 35. Duties include helping with the preparation, cooking, distribution, and cleanup. The cafeteria substitute hours are 7:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
