Support Oglesby Schools
The SOS organization is the Oglesby Public Schools Parent-Teacher organization. Your child attending Oglesby schools automatically makes you a member of this group. Last year the SOS raised approximately $15,000 through fundraisers. They included Clubs Choice, concession stand at home basketball and volleyball games and other various fundraisers. The money raised was used to pay for field trips, band and sport uniforms, reading incentives, family fun nights, Weekly Readers, the annual carnival and other teacher and school needs as required.
The SOS also helps organize chaperones for field trips, band and chorus performances, movie nights and the carnival. There are several different board positions in the SOS. They are president, secretary, treasurer, fundraising, activities, music and athletics. These positions are for one school year and are up for election each April.
