Preparing for ISAT Testing
January 28, 2010

From March 2nd until March 12th students across the state of Illinois will be participating in the ISAT tests. Students in grades 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, and 8 will be participating. Students in grades 3, 5, 6, and 8 will be tested in the areas of reading, math, and writing. Students in grades 4 and 7 will be tested in the areas of reading, math, and science.

The school has been careful not to schedule too many evening activities during this time period. The majority of the testing will take place on March 2nd, 3rd, 4th, and 5th. Make-up tests will be scheduled during the following week at each school. In addition, teachers will refrain from scheduling major tests during this time period to help students perform at their best level.

Parents are asked to support this testing effort by making sure their children get plenty of rest and eat a good breakfast. Breakfast is available at Lincoln School. Also be sure to encourage your child/children to do their best on each test taken. It is very important that the students are here on time each day that testing takes place. Together we can work to make sure the students do the best they can on these state assessments. We appreciate your help in this effort.
